2.Structure and operating principle:

2.1 Structure(See fig.1) The Air break switch is a coorcinated type disconnector switch with simple with simple interrupters and cutout fuse,No.1 in fig.1 is frame made of steel .No.2 is earth bolt,which connect the frame with earth wire in order to the safety of man and equipment in case that the frame is electriferous.N0.3 is supportin frame,used fo installing the switch on the single pole.No.4 is drive system ,the rotation part of the big shaft is fixed by rolling bearings,which is operated flexibly.No.5 is the in-between spring device,which is installed between the frameand rotation shaft so as to fulfill opening and closing quickly.No.6 is insulator,which is silicon rubber insulator with big creepage distance. the system of carrying current is made up of main blde and auxiliary blade. No.7 is main blade made of pure copper coating with tince alloy. No.8 is auxiliary blade made of stainless steel and with spring accelerated that can quick up opening speed of the auxiliary blade when opening gullotine.No.9 is interrupters made of clapboard with good characteristic of flame fetardant and interrupting.No.10 is cuout fuse .No.11 is handle,operated to open and close the brake with insulate rod for operator. 2.2 operating principle The Air break switch is 3pole mechanical linkage type, and is only permitted to pull the "closing" ring in the NO.11 operating handle with insulate operation rod when opening and closing guilliotine,No.4 drive system make the big shaft move, when move to certain angle,the spring will be in-between, make the big shaft finish closing quickly,when opening,in the moment of main blade leaving and auxiliary blade not disconnecting completely,the accelerated equipment of sprign on the auxiliary blade is used to accelerate disconnecting ,and reduce to produce the arc.meanwhile,the No.9 interrupters limit the arc to diffuse so that to achieve to reduce the arc. No.10 cutout fuse is assembled with 12KVfuse link,whten short circuit current is passed, the fuse link will melt quickly and under the action of fuse body and accelerated opening setting ,the fuse tube drops. |

4.Installation and use:

4.1 examination before installation a.The Air break switch is only permitted to open and close in 17.5KV,400A and below. b.Examine every fastener of rotation parts and supporting parts to see if they are loosen,and examine the insulators if they are broken. c.After closing,the main blade and auxiliary blade shall be closed completely,otherwise,shall adjuxt again. e.Examine fuse part to see if they are meet tightly and well. 4.2 Notice a. the operator shall finish the operation without any pause and shall finish opening and closing quickly.do not be slow and pause. b.The guillotine of the switch shall be opened when theoperator opeerates the fuse tube,and then bring the fuse tube into action or quit with isolate rod to make sure that the fuse tube is working in the condition of no load current. |
5.Maintenance:

5.1 Regular inspection:The switch shall be inspected after being used for 3 years.(it is according to load and times of using ) |
